Two men were held at gunpoint and robbed after falling prey to a “sugar baby” plot involving the website Seeking Arrangements.

According to court documents, the two men were using the website Seeking Arrangements, which advertises making connections between “sugar daddies” and a “sugar baby.” The site claims to be “where beautiful, successful people fuel mutually beneficial relationships.”

The men connected with a woman that was later identified as Alayna P. Adamson, 22. The men and Adamson agreed to meet at 820 South Avenue. Adamson met the men outside and took them into apartment 107, where they sat on a couch.

At that point, two men later identified as An’whan Gates, 23, and Mario Hubbard, 31, came into the room with guns and robbed them.

In one case, the trio went through the man’s phone and transferred money from cash apps to personal accounts, and took a debit card to withdraw cash from an ATM.

In the second, they forced the victim to turn off the security system at his home and were planning to rob the home when the victim was able to escape and call police. The trio had previously told the victim if he called police they would come to his house.

The suspects were stopped when they tried to leave the parking area of the apartments when one of the victims pointed them out to police.

Adamson would not talk to police, but Hubbard and Gates both told police the men tried to arrange to have sex with Adamson for money.
